General

  • The release of Project DIVA and Project Mirai games is always on Thursday. The only exceptions were the releases of the Project DIVA Arcade cabinets. MikuFlick and MikuFlick/02 were both released on Friday.
  • The commercials of Project DIVA are voiced by Saki Fujita, the same voice actor who voiced the vocals in Hatsune Miku's database for VOCALOID2. She also performed on some concerts of The 39's band together with the voice actor of Kagamine Rin as warm-up to welcome the audience.
  • The ending credits is also a minigame with Hachune Miku being a playable character. In the PSP games, Hachune will swat the characters off the credits. while in Project DIVA F and F 2nd, Hachune will shoot them up.
  • Every Project DIVA games have at least one module that is designed from various SEGA game (e.g. Puyo Puyo, Space Channel 5, Virtua Fighter, Valkyria Chronicles, etc.).
  • "39" is a universal number of all things Miku. It can be seen almost anywhere within the game or outside. See some of the "39" facts below.
  • Rin and Len's icons of the Project DIVA F series are colored yellow and orange respectively while their icons in most Project DIVA are colored orange and yellow respectively.

Project DIVA

  • The ISO-Size of the UMD disc is 1337 MB. 1337 is also read as "leet", a common term used by computer geeks and gamers.

Project DIVA 2nd

memstickmiku.jpg A special Memory Stick PRO Duo got released by MagicGate for Project DIVA 2nd. Unlike the usual 4 GB Sticks this one is labeled with "3.9 GB" volume space. (Funfact: All 4 GB Sticks have only 3.9 GB space.)

  • The ISO-Size of the UMD disc contains 1.39 GB

Project DIVA Dreamy Theater

  • The download size of Project DIVA Dreamy Theater 2nd is 3939 MB.

Project DIVA F

  • While the Song PV of "The MMORPG Addict's Anthem" takes place in Phantasy Star Online 2, there was an actual promo in PSO2. The Room from the Song PV exists also in PSO2 and on the screen you actually can see the Song PV of Project DIVA F.
  • In the original PV of "Remote Controller" Rin is holding a Famicom controller (japanese version of NES). Due to the fact that Project DIVA is released on Sony PlayStation consoles and developed by SEGA the controller changed into a SEGA Dreamcast controller with a mic attachment. The logo on the Dreamcast controller in the PV got recolored in the English version of the game to match the logo of the English version of the Dreamcast console.
  • In the Meltdown stage, a hidden text texture can be found written in the old Menu font of the Project DIVA PSP games. The text contains lines in several languages like "Schmelzen" which is the german word for "to melt" or "melting" while "Fundición" is spanish for "Meltdown".
One line contains "Enjoy Project DIVA". Another hidden texture shows some kind of music note and the number "02" next to it.
  • If you play "ACUTE" on HARD difficulty you might notice that the notes matches the Vocaloid who's singing in that moment. In the beginning there are notes with the blue cross because Kaito's singing while green triangles are shown when Miku sings. Luka got the pink squares while red circles and yellow stars are used in the instrumental part of the song. When two Vocaloids are singing at the same time, then you play a mix of their notes like blue crosses and green triangles when Kaito and Miku sing. In the end part of the song when all three sing together you play blue notes while Kaito's shown on the PV while you play triangles and squares while Miku and Luka are shown.
  • While western countries usually have songs by English-speaking artists in the top 50 of karaoke songs, "Senbonzakura" is actually one of the most popular karaoke songs in Japan.
  • The hit ratings in the English version (COOL, GOOD, BAD, AWFUL) are similar to the gameplay ratings in Parappa the Rapper.
  • In Rin-Chan Now's PV, Miku and Luka's back hands do not hold during the part when they blast off into space. This is most likely due to them already holding microphones so the animation is just made to look like they're holding hands from the front. This also occurs in the Arcade version.
  • In "Negaposi✽Continues", the notes will appear based on lyrics(e.g. 'maru', 'aka'=red circle, 'batsu', 'ao'=blue cross, 'sankaku', 'midori'=green triangle, 'shikaku', 'pinku'=pink square, 'migi'=right arrow, 'hidari'=left arrow). It appears on Hard and Extreme mode.
  • If you pick any face item on any Vocaloid in "Megane", the face item will not appear on Vocaloid's face when you start playing/watching the song.

Project DIVA F 2nd

  • The main menu of Project Diva F 2nd features a background identical to Glory 3usi9's beginning.
  • The PV of "Heat Haze Daze" (Kagerou Daze) is the first one which triggers a whole different PV if you hit or miss the golden star note in the beginning of the song. Even though it's just the second PV which has it's chance time in the beginning, "The Disappeareance of Hatsune Miku" in Project DIVA 2nd and Project DIVA Extend in Extreme difficulty did start with Chance Time, but didn't have a different ending of effect in it's PV.
  • Also, if you play Heat Haze Daze, the only notes to appear are X's and O's referencing the bright reds and blues of the original PV and the anime, Mekakucity Actors.
  • Luka is the only character who actually sings the english original lyrics of the Yankee Doodle jingle in the DIVA Room minigame. All the other Vocaloids sing different lyrics in japanese called "10,000 Feet up the Alps" (アルプス一万尺) known as the "(Japanese) Hand Clapping Song".
  • The DP prices for the birthday cakes have a funny secret in it. For example the birthday cake for Miku costs 20831 DP while the cakes for Rin and Len costs 21227 DP. The price is the result of their birthday month and date + 20000 DP. (21227 = Dec 27th (12 27) + 20000)
    • The most expensive item is not a module but a head accessory: Mikudayo head = 39,393 DP
  • Unlike the first Project DIVA game and Project DIVA Dreamy Theater this is the first game where the tutorial song "Ievan Polkka" can be played multiple times. Once you beat any song on HARD, you'll unlock "Ievan Polkka (EXTREME)" in Tutorial mode.
  • Double scratching the big gold star keeps the normal ending despite completing the Chance Time.
  • The returning DLC song, Though My Song Has No Form, is the first PV to have it's original PSP ending to become the alternate ending. The standard ending, if you miss the Chance Time star or double flick it, has a new motion and effects added.
  • The song, "Sakura Rain," is the only normal difficulty song to feature square notes, which are pink, likely a reference to the color of Sakura petals.

Project DIVA X

  • The "Love Trial" song has 'Star' Rush Note. This is only Rush note that is scratching the screen, rear touch pad, or flicking the sticks, instead of mashing the buttons.

Project Mirai Series

  • This is the first time in the mirai series where MEIKO and KAITO are included in the opening.
  • Some songs can be played with different characters' voices (e.g. SING&SMILE, Tricolor Airline, Reverse Rainbow, etc.).
  • This is the first series that does not feature swimwear as costumes, they do however appear in Mirai 2 but are not usable in PVs.
  • This is the second series not to feature a tutorial.
  • This is the first series not to feature DLCs.
  • Mirai 2 is the first game to feature pajamas as costumes.
  • Puyo Puyo 39 is available to play in Project mirai 2 and DX.
    • When Miku's Arle costume is played in Puyo Puyo, Miku will act as an actual Arle and she'll do Arle's spells during chain combos. "Fire! Icestorm! Diacute! Braindumbed! Jugem! DAYO!" <-- except that last one.
  • Hang-On from the 1985 SEGA arcade racing game "Hang-On", returns as a furniture item and can be ridden by anyone. When ridden by one of the VOCALOIDs, the BGM will change to Hang-On theme and a gameplay of Hang-On will feature on the bike's screen.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog and Opa-Opa (Fantasy Zone) make their cameo appearances as figurine items. As well as the Virtua Fighter 2 arcade machine as a Medium item.
  • The English description of the Steam Roller item directly involves Dio Brando's famous battle cry from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: "MUDA MUDA MUDA WRYYYYY!".
  • Some famous paintings are featured as a wall furniture item in Project mirai 2, like the "Mona Lisa", "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and "The Scream", but with their heads replaced with Luka, Rin, and KAITO respectively.
  • Akita Neru, Yowane Haku, Sakine MEIKO and Kasane Teto make a cameo apperance in "Daughter of Evil" and "Servant of Evil."
  • Many costumes from the DIVA series return in mirai, like *Hello.Planet. (Extend), Snow Miku 2012 (Arcade), Snow Miku 2013 and AS (f/F), and the Yukatas (f/F).
    • Many songs from DIVA series also return: Finder (DSLR remix‐re:edit), No Logic, Clover♣Club, World is Mine, Heart, etc.
  • Mirai DX has the largest song list, with a total of 48 songs (79 if counting songs from the previous mirai as well as changeable vocals), beating Project Diva 2nd, which has a total of 46 songs.
